Sell it before
it lands.

Let shoppers buy what has not arrived yet. Take the full amount, a deposit, or nothing until you ship, and tell them exactly when it lands. One rule can cover every sold-out product.

Offers

Pick one product, or cover the whole catalogue.

An offer decides what can be pre-ordered and on what terms. Start with a single launch, or set one rule and let it keep the entire store covered without you touching it again.

  • Specific products, chosen by hand
  • Single variants, so only the sold-out size is affected
  • Whole collections in one offer
  • Every sold-out product, added by rule, checked hourly, skipped by tag

Payment

Take the money now, later, or some of each.

Cash up front funds the run. A deposit lowers the barrier on an expensive item. Charging on fulfilment removes it. The card is vaulted either way, so the balance is collected without chasing anyone.

  • Pay in full at checkout
  • Deposit now, balance on a date you choose
  • Charge nothing until you mark it fulfilled
  • Failed balance payments flagged with the customer
  • A pre-order discount for buying early

Expectations

Refunds come from surprises, not from waiting.

Shoppers will wait months for the right product. What they will not forgive is finding out late. Every pre-order says what it is and when it lands, on the button, in the cart and in the email.

  • A ship date, or "ships when available", on the button
  • Your own button, badge and cart wording
  • Mixed carts explained, or blocked
  • Minimum and maximum per order
  • One-click email to everyone affected when a date slips

Waitlist

You already know who wants it.

Everyone who asked to be told when a product came back is in your Back in Stock list. Open a pre-order and invite exactly those people. A pre-order-only app cannot do this, because it has no waitlist to draw on.

  • Invite the shoppers already waiting on that product
  • They land on a page that can take their money, not just their email
  • One subscriber list and one set of templates across both modules
  • Tag pre-order customers in Shopify

Reporting

Know what you have promised, and what you are owed.

A pre-order is a commitment both ways. The report keeps both halves in front of you: money committed, money collected, and the units you now owe someone. Balances reconcile with Shopify hourly.

  • Committed, collected, and still to collect
  • Units to ship, by release date
  • Failed balance payments, so an expired card is not a silent loss
  • Revenue and conversion by offer and product

“In-stock alerts were exactly what our store needed. Now customers know the instant new shipments land from overseas, and the dashboard is super easy to use. Support was quick and helpful too. Couldn't ask for more!”

FAQ

Pre-order questions.

How do deposits work?

Shopify vaults the card at checkout. You take a percentage now and the balance on a date or after a number of days. Failed balance payments are flagged with the customer so nothing is lost silently.

When does the pre-order button appear?

When a product is out of stock and set to continue selling when out of stock, and it is in an active offer. Both conditions stop the button showing on products you can ship today.

Can I cover every sold-out product without listing them?

Yes. One offer scoped to All products checks your catalogue hourly and adds whatever just sold out. Exclude by tag to keep clearance or made-to-order lines off pre-order.

What happens when a ship date slips?

Change the date on the offer. On Standard and up, email everyone affected in one click. The date also updates on the button, in the cart and in the confirmation email.

Can I limit how many someone pre-orders?

Yes, from Starter. Set a minimum and maximum per order, and on Standard cap the total units an offer may sell.

What is waitlist to pre-order?

Everyone who asked to be told when a product came back is already in your Back in Stock list. On Pro, invite exactly those shoppers the moment you open a pre-order on that product.

Stop turning buyers away.

Pre-order ships with Back in Stock and Low in Stock in the same app, on the same subscription.
