Alert Me! ("we", "us", "our") provides back-in-stock, low-stock and pre-order tools for Shopify merchants. By installing or using the app, you agree to this policy.
1. Who this policy is for
- Merchants who install Alert Me! on their Shopify store.
- Shoppers who subscribe to alerts or place pre-orders on a merchant's storefront.
2. Information we collect
From merchants
- Store details provided by Shopify (store name, domain, email, plan, locations).
- Product and inventory data needed to detect restocks and stock levels.
- App configuration, billing status, and support correspondence.
From shoppers
- Contact details a shopper submits to receive an alert (email address, and optionally a phone number for SMS or WhatsApp).
- The product or variant subscribed to, and the time of subscription.
- Pre-order details Shopify passes to us (order, line items, payment status) so balances and ship dates can be managed.
- Basic delivery events (sent, delivered, opened) used to report performance to the merchant.
3. How we use information
- To send the alerts a shopper requested and the pre-order emails an order requires.
- To provide merchants with subscriber lists, restock insights and reporting.
- To operate, secure, support and improve the app.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use shopper contact details for our own marketing.
4. Sharing and sub-processors
We share data only with providers that help us run the app:
- Shopify, the platform your store and our app run on.
- Email, SMS and WhatsApp delivery providers, to send the notifications you trigger.
- Cloud hosting and monitoring providers, to host the service and keep it reliable.
- Marketing integrations you connect (for example Klaviyo), only when you enable them.
5. Data retention
We retain merchant and subscriber data for as long as the app is installed and as needed to provide the service. When you uninstall, we delete or anonymise store data within 30 days unless a longer period is required by law. Shoppers can unsubscribe at any time.
6. Your rights (GDPR and CCPA)
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Shopify's mandatory data request, redaction and shop redaction webhooks are honoured automatically. To make a request directly, email support@alert-me.io.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege practices. No method of storage is completely secure, but we work hard to safeguard what you entrust to us.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes are reflected in the date above and, where appropriate, communicated in-app.
